I went to the signing yesterday in Alameda. I was the one whoose birthday it was. I t was so fun. I wish I got the drawing of Eva thogh.
Happy Birthday, Talia! Thanks for coming out.
Will there be a 3rd book or even a fourth book?
I’ll be starting the third book very soon. It is set for release next fall.
Dear Tony DiTerlizzi,
You are my most favoritest author & illustrator. I, myself, am all about the works of drawing, reading, & writing. I went to your signing this morning in New Jersey. I simply adore your illustrations, & your stories are captivating. I cannnot wait for the 3rd WondLa book to come out.
Sincerely, your faithful admirer,
Caylin Clavier
You are awesome, Caylin. Thanks for the kind note:)
Hello!
I think I liked the first book better, probably because I had found no “deja-vu” there and everything I read in “The Search for Wondla” was really amazing and impressive… The first book was really great, but the second had ideologies I don’t quite approve. I was really disappointed by Eva Eight’s predictable character and what happened to her- you basically killed her- turning her into a tree… I mean, if you didn’t make her an “impure/a corrupted” character, it would have been great for Eva Nine to have a sister to accompany her through the adventures of the second book…I believe something happened between the two books, but hopefully the third one will be awesome once more. Good luck, Tony!
After finally reading “A Hero for Wondla” when my exams were over, I realised that I somehow had already seen before some ideas presented in the second book… I later discovered that Eva Nine’s adventures in “A Hero for Wondla” are quite alike WALL-E’s.
Even though it sounds weird, Eva Nine, just like WALL-E, arrived to a human colony by a spaceship and rejoined the others of her kind. WALL-E, like Eva, found out about the control “Auto” had over the humans of the colony and became rebellious along with other robots. Like Eva, WALL-E, even though is part of a long forgotten program, did what he was made for- cleaning up the waste of the Earth, as Eva continued the HumanRepopulationProject…
It’s rather peculiar.
Hi Theodore,
I appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts and being honest about how you felt with WondLa 2. You are certainly entitled to your opinion.
I really can’t wait for more books! I expect that I will have to re-read all the books each time a new book comes out. But, I was waiting FOR-EV-ER for the 2nd book to come out. When my friend told me it was out I was excited. I was just sorta waiting around for it to be in the library. I got the both of the books and read them. Sadly, it only took me 5 days to read both. ROCK ON, TONY!!!!!!! =~)
